If an individual other than the patient is responsible for paying the patient’s bill, disclosure of patient information is allowed as long as the disclosures are limited to the minimum amount of information necessary to obtain payment.

A dental corporation name must contain and be restricted to the name or the last name of one or more shareholders, and must include words denoting corporate existence. Use of a name other than the corporate name requires a DBC fictitious name permit.

It's time to notify patients with remaining dental benefits - due for treatment to schedule appointments before the end of the year. Mail the “Letter to Patient Regarding Dental Benefits”. Make sure treatment billed to the plan is completed before the end of the year.
